At the end of May 2016, Taiyuan, the "Dragon City" with 2,500 years of urban construction history, finally welcomed the full-scale construction of its first metro line. At the same time, Shanghai Jintai's first SG50A hydraulic grab for diaphragm walls arrived at the "Kuangji Street Station" on Taiyuan Metro Line 2 and was successfully installed and commissioned within 24 hours. With its brand-new paintwork and configuration, the SG50A stood out and became a beautiful sight along Taiyuan's first metro line construction. To date, five Shanghai SG hydraulic grabs have entered the construction site of Taiyuan Metro Line 2.

According to reports, the SG50A diaphragm wall hydraulic grab is an upgraded replacement product of Shanghai Jintai's SG46A. Building on the SG46A grab's good market reputation and high efficiency, reliability, and stability, it was developed to comply with emission standards, further improve equipment construction efficiency, and reduce energy consumption. The SG50A adopts an originally imported Cummins QSM11 electronically controlled turbocharged engine (Euro III), which not only features strong power, low noise, and low emissions but also improves fuel economy. At the same time, it uses a dual-winching lifting and lowering mechanism, significantly improving trenching efficiency. In terms of control, it is equipped with an advanced programmable inclinometer device that can record and store the entire excavation process of the grab. The SG50A diaphragm wall hydraulic grab offers faster trenching efficiency, greater deep-trench excavation capability, and more energy-saving, efficient, and environmentally friendly performance, with further improvements in control systems and stability.
