Phase I of the project has reached 25% completion

      As a key municipal-level project, the comprehensive utility tunnel project in Chengnan New District, Shizhong District, Neijiang City has been advancing in an orderly manner since construction began, and Phase I has now reached 25% completion.

      On May 10, the reporter came to the Phase I project site of the underground comprehensive utility tunnel in the Ma'anshan old industrial area and saw workers carrying out reinforced concrete construction. Along the bank of the Tuojiang River, a “channel” about 5 meters wide and 3 meters high has already come into view.

      According to Zhang Yunqi, section chief of the engineering department of the Phase I project of the underground comprehensive utility tunnel in the Ma'anshan old industrial area, the comprehensive utility tunnel in Chengnan New District of Shizhong District has a total length of 4.09 kilometers, and more than 1 kilometer of construction has now been completed. The goal is to complete 2.1 kilometers by July this year. At present, the construction unit is seizing the recent fine weather to work overtime, rush the schedule, and grasp key milestones, striving to complete the project and put it into use as early as possible.

      The construction of the comprehensive utility tunnel in Chengnan New District of Shizhong District is the first comprehensive utility tunnel construction project implemented in Neijiang City. The project has a total investment of 850 million yuan and will build 23 kilometers of comprehensive utility tunnels. Among them, Phase I includes 4 kilometers of underground comprehensive utility tunnels along Section BC of Shiyang Avenue, the western extension of Jiangning Street, and Lexian Avenue; Phase II includes 19.4 kilometers of underground comprehensive utility tunnels along Ledin Road and the western extension of Jianghua Street. It is expected that the main construction of the Phase I utility tunnel will be fully completed by June 2017, and the Phase II project will be completed by the end of 2018.

      The underground comprehensive utility tunnels in Chengnan New District are all built along the city's main roads and concentrate urban high-voltage power, power supply and weak-current pipelines, and urban water supply pipelines. In terms of layout, the power transmission trunk lines will meet the development needs of the Chengnan area, and regional high-voltage lines will be built using the “high-voltage lines moved underground” method; the distribution trunk line routes will mainly be arranged along the western extension of Jiangning Street, Shiyang Avenue, Lexian Avenue, and Youding Road; the water supply trunk line and communication trunk line routes will mainly be arranged along Shiyang Avenue, the western extension of Jiangning Street, Lexian Avenue, and Youding Road.
