Recently, drilling began on the first pile of the main tower of the overpass crossing the Jinshan Railway on the Tangshan Central Urban Area Ring Road (Second Ring Road) project, marking the entry of this cable-stayed swivel bridge into the substantive construction phase.

It is understood that the project is located at the junction of Fengrun District and Kaiping District in Tangshan and is being constructed by China Railway Sixth Group Co., Ltd. The bridge has a total length of 927.5 meters. The main bridge is a cable-stayed swivel bridge crossing the Jinshan Railway, with the swivel portion weighing 33,000 tonnes. The first pile drilled this time is a pile foundation with a diameter of 2.5 meters and a depth of 82 meters. The main pier consists of 35 pile foundations.

In response to the actual conditions at the construction site, the project department adjusted the special construction plan in a timely manner and strengthened on-site monitoring and protection, providing “multiple safeguards” for the safe and rapid progress of the project.

The Second Ring Road of Tangshan starts at Nanhu Yingbin Avenue and ends at the new National Highway 205, with a total length of 43.16 kilometers. The road is designed with six lanes in both directions, a roadbed width of 26.5 meters, and a design speed of 60 km/h. There are 12 overpasses along the entire line. Upon completion, it will play an important role in alleviating traffic pressure, improving the city's image, and promoting the clustering of surrounding industries.
