On April 25, trenching for the first diaphragm wall at Wutongshan Station (Section 8132) on Shenzhen Metro Line 8, constructed by the Third Company of CCCC Second Highway Engineering Co., Ltd., began, marking a solid step forward in the construction of the main retaining structure of another station on Line 8.

Wutongshan Station is an important station in Phase I of Shenzhen Metro Line 8. It is located on the north side of Luosha Road, spanning the Liantang public transport plot, Wutongshan South Road and the Wutongshan Scenic Area, with the Luohu District Public Security Bureau and its dormitories to the west, the Changling Village area to the south, the Wutongshan Scenic Area to the east, and the Wutongyuan residential community to the north. With a total length of 187.2 meters, it is an underground two-level island station. The foundation pit in the standard section is about 17.0–20.0 meters deep. The main structure is a two-level underground single-column double-span reinforced concrete frame structure, designed with open-cut construction and partial covered excavation.

The first diaphragm wall panel to be constructed is panel EW24 in the north standard section, which is 6 meters wide and 8 meters thick, with a designed depth of 23.3 meters.
