The reporter learned from the project department of the Baoying section of the Lianzhen Railway that since March, high-speed rail construction within the county has been fully underway. During the Qingming holiday, many high-speed rail builders from across the country gave up the chance to visit home and stayed on the front line, working overtime to catch up with the schedule and not delay the project progress.

At the high-speed rail construction site in Donghong Village, Jinghe Town, the reporter saw more than 10 workers tying rebar inside the pile cap foundation pit, preparing for the upcoming concrete pouring. The on-site technician told the reporter that what is being built here is the largest continuous beam in the Baoying section of the Lianzhen Railway, spanning the Daxi River and Huangcui Highway, with a span of 88 meters. Zhai Qinghong, deputy manager of the second sub-department, told the reporter: "We do not take holidays for May Day, National Day, or Qingming Festival, because the schedule is tight, and we do not rest on Sundays either."

At the high-speed rail construction site in Longhe Village, Fanshui Town, Yang Jili, deputy director of engineering of the third sub-department, told the reporter that since entering the site for construction in September last year, the third sub-department work area has driven more than 2,000 piles, completing over half of the task, and several control node continuous beams have also begun construction. The continuous beam of the Xiangyang River Grand Bridge crossing the Xiangyang River, with a span of 64 meters, "has now been constructed to the No. 0 block stage, and we strive to pour concrete for the first time in the middle of this month. Beam erection will be at the end of August. Currently, it is the golden season for construction; before the rainy season arrives, we are seizing every opportunity to speed up construction progress," said Yang Jili, deputy director of engineering of the third sub-department.

According to statistics, up to now, high-speed rail construction within the county has completed a total of 5,814 pile foundations, accounting for 54.5% of the total construction volume, and completed 103 pile caps and 13 pier bodies. The project department is making every effort to organize and allocate various human resources, material resources, and financial resources to ensure the rapid advancement of high-speed rail construction.
