At 9:00 a.m. on March 8, the last pile of Plot 6 in the Seventh Resettlement Area of the Zhengzhou Airport Project, in which China Railway 18th Bureau Group Construction & Installation Co., Ltd. participated, was successfully poured, marking the completion of all pile foundation construction tasks for the project.
Since construction began on January 4 last year, in order to ensure smooth progress, the Zhengzhou Airport Project Department of Construction & Installation Co., Ltd. organized carefully, arranged meticulously, and carried out scientific construction. The project department leadership took the lead by example and vigorously grasped construction progress and project quality. On-site technical and construction personnel worked day and night, solving a series of difficulties such as low winter temperatures, concrete setting, difficulty in controlling concrete volume, large over-pouring volumes, long empty piles, difficulty in controlling pile top elevations, and self-generated power, thereby ensuring steady progress in pile foundation construction. Ultimately, in 65 days, the construction task of a total of 13,842 piles was completed 14 days ahead of schedule.
During construction, the project department took multiple measures and worked solidly. Technical briefings were given to on-site construction personnel to clarify construction procedures, key points for attention, and personnel division of labor; material support work was prepared in advance; pre-pouring inspection and supervision were strengthened to eliminate quality problems. At the same time, the project department organized dedicated personnel for 24-hour duty tracking and monitoring to ensure that the construction site was intense and orderly, busy but not chaotic.
The successful completion of pile foundation construction laid the foundation for foundation pit protection and the second earthwork excavation, and also created favorable conditions for accelerating construction progress. At present, the project department is carrying out subsequent procedures in an orderly manner.
