In 2016, Anhui Province will start construction on more than 1,600 projects each worth over 100 million yuan. The provincial government recently issued a related notice. In accordance with the objectives and tasks set out in the 2016 Work Priorities of the Standing Committee of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and the Work Report of the Anhui Provincial People's Government, 39 key tasks in 11 areas have been identified, the leading responsible leaders and units for each task have been specified, and the key tasks have been incorporated into the annual assessment.

Among them, more than 1,600 projects each worth over 100 million yuan will be started throughout the year, and more than 60 will be completed. Construction will begin on projects including the Yangtze-to-Huaihe Water Diversion, the Anqing-Jiujiang High-Speed Railway, and Wuhu Xuancheng Airport. Investment in transportation infrastructure construction will reach 100 billion yuan. An additional 73 kilometers of high-speed passenger railways and 290 kilometers of expressways will be opened to traffic, 300 kilometers of first-class highways will be completed, and 34,000 kilometers of rural road access projects will be implemented. Efforts will be made to start construction on three PPP pilot projects: the eastern extension of the Yueyang-Wuhan Expressway, the Hefei-Qiaoyang section of the Dezhou-Shangrao Expressway, and the Huangshan-Qiandao Lake Expressway; and to complete five expressway projects: the Wangdong Yangtze River Highway Bridge, the Liyang-Guangde Expressway, the Lixin-Huainan section of the Dezhou-Shangrao Expressway, the Huainan-Hefei section of the Dezhou-Shangrao Expressway, and the Tianchang section of the Suzhou-Yangzhou Expressway. Projects including the Huai River North Water Diversion Project and the Anhui section of the Zhengzhou-Xuzhou Passenger Dedicated Line will be completed.

The new energy vehicle promotion plan will be implemented, with more than 30,000 new energy vehicles to be promoted and produced. More than 10 key elderly care demonstration projects of different formats will be promoted, the construction of the Wannan International Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone will be comprehensively advanced, and the creation of the "Greater Huangshan National Park" will be accelerated. 1,000 kilometers of urban greenways will be built, new energy buses will be vigorously promoted, and the proportion of new energy vehicles among newly added and updated buses will be no less than 35%.

Fifteen major provincial science and technology special projects will be implemented, and a number of breakthrough innovation achievements will be made in fields such as intelligent speech, quantum communication, integrated circuits, and new energy vehicles. A number of specialized towns and characteristic towns with industrial clusters worth over 10 billion yuan will be developed. The "Internet Plus Manufacturing" action plan will be implemented, and a number of "digital workshops," "smart factories," and intelligent manufacturing demonstration projects will be completed. Twenty new China Well-Known Trademarks, 400 Anhui Famous Trademarks, and 170 Anhui Brand products will be added.

For air pollution prevention and control, coordinated cross-regional supervision in the Yangtze River Delta region will be implemented, 60,000 yellow-label vehicles will be phased out, and the average PM10 concentration will drop by 6.3%. Urban employment will increase by 600,000 people, and the registered unemployment rate will be kept within 4.5%.
