On the afternoon of March 8, news came from the supervision team of the First Resident Office of the Guangxi Zixing Expressway Chief Supervisor Office that the 500-meter subgrade test section from K0+870 to K1+370 in Section 2 of the project, constructed by China Railway 23rd Bureau Group Co., Ltd., achieved a 100% pass rate on all indicators in the preliminary acceptance and was praised by the leaders and experts of the acceptance unit.

In accordance with the relevant regulations issued by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Department of Transport and China Railway Construction Guilin Investment Company (the owner), the project department, while ensuring subgrade construction quality, also attached great importance to subgrade acceptance and handover work. As early as the beginning of this year, the project department established an acceptance preparation working group headed by Chief Engineer Yan Guoguang and composed of relevant personnel from the surveying team, laboratory, engineering department, safety and quality department, and other departments. In accordance with the acceptance standards issued by the owner and the supervision unit, they carried out self-inspections in all specialties and prepared internal documentation before the preliminary acceptance. To ensure the smooth completion of the first subgrade acceptance and handover, relevant personnel of the project department seized effective construction time, rationally utilized resources, coordinated scheduling, and managed on-site work well. Motor graders, road rollers, and water trucks were promptly in place. In early January, they invited Sun Qinggui, head of the on-site supervision team of the Chief Supervisor Office, and professional supervision engineers to the site to inspect and guide the subgrade acceptance work before acceptance. In response to the opinions and suggestions raised by the supervision unit, the project department held special meetings to arrange and deploy work, designated dedicated personnel to take charge, and implemented rectification one by one. In the early preparation for subgrade acceptance, the project department also invited professionals from China Railway Construction Guilin Investment Company, the EPC on-site management department, the Chief Supervisor Office, and other units to inspect and guide the site of the section. They put forward many reasonable and effective rectification opinions and suggestions, which played a key role in the smooth completion of the preliminary acceptance of the test section subgrade.

At around 15:00 on March 7, a five-member subgrade preliminary acceptance team headed by Sun Qinggui, head of the First Supervision Team on site of the Chief Supervisor Office and chief supervision engineer, strictly tested indicators of the 500-meter subgrade test section of the project, including elevation, degree of compaction, deflection, smoothness, subgrade width, and centerline deviation, and conducted a comprehensive inspection and preliminary acceptance of all internal documentation for the engineering technology. They confirmed that the pass rate of all indicators reached 100%. This preliminary subgrade acceptance and handover not only made the unit the first among the eight sections of the entire line to conduct preliminary subgrade acceptance and pass it, but also marked that the main subgrade works of the project section had basically met the conditions for delivery, laying the foundation for subsequent subgrade construction and acceptance and handover work.
