To the urban and rural construction commissions of all districts and counties (autonomous counties), the construction administration bureaus of Liangjiang New Area, Beibu New Area, Economic and Technological Development Zone, High-tech Zone, Wansheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Shuangqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, and relevant units:

　　The Code for Design of Building Foundations (revised) is hereby approved as a mandatory standard for engineering construction in this municipality, with the number DBJ50-047-2016, and shall come into force on May 1, 2016. Among its provisions, Articles 5.1.2 and 6.1.2 are mandatory clauses. It has passed the review and filing of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with the filing number J13150-2016, and must be strictly implemented. The former Code for Design of Building Foundations DBJ50-047-2006 is simultaneously abolished.

　　This code shall be administered and its mandatory clauses interpreted by the Chongqing Municipal Urban and Rural Construction Commission, and its specific technical content shall be interpreted by MCC Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited.
