On January 28, at the annual results meeting of Hang Lung Properties Limited and Hang Lung Group Limited, Chairman Ronnie Chan stated that Kunming Plaza 66, located in Kunming, has commenced foundation engineering.
　　Kunming Plaza 66 (Spring City 66) has a total site area of 56,042.97 square meters (84.06 mu), adjacent to the interchange station of Kunming Rail Transit Line 2 and Line 3. The construction scope extends north to Dongfeng Road, west to Beijing Road, south to Shangyi Street, and east to Shangyi Lane, enjoying a uniquely advantageous location. The construction of Kunming Plaza 66 mainly features modern-style high-rise buildings. Once completed, Kunming Plaza 66 will become a new urban complex integrating high-end shopping mall, 5A office towers, and city apartments, gathering functions of finance, business, and residence into one.
　　On November 28, 2012, Hang Lung Properties broke ground on Plaza 66 in Kunming, Yunnan. Plaza 66 covers an area of approximately 56,000 square meters, with a total gross floor area of 401,300 square meters, including a shopping mall: 180,000 square meters, offices: 161,300 square meters, and serviced apartments: 60,000 square meters. It will be developed into a large-scale commercial complex integrating a world-class shopping mall, Grade A offices, and serviced apartments. The planned height of the office tower exceeds 300 meters, poised to become a prominent landmark in Kunming. Upon completion, Plaza 66 will have a total gross floor area of 401,000 square meters and is expected to be completed in phases starting from 2018. It is one of the largest commercial investment projects in Kunming.
　　Regarding existing projects under construction, Ronnie Chan stated that the construction progress will not be slowed down, but they will not strive to advance ahead of schedule as in the past.
