On January 17, the Tianxian and Qianjiang Project of China Railway 15th Bureau Group No. 1 Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway Construction Corporation successfully completed the concrete pouring for the first lift of the pier shaft of Pier No. 92 of the main bridge of the Yuekou Hanjiang Grand Bridge, marking that construction of the auxiliary piers of the grand bridge's main bridge has entered a new stage.
The pier is a round-ended solid pier with a height of 21.38 meters. It is poured in three lifts, with a designed concrete volume of 668 cubic meters. The first lift is 9 meters, the second lift is 9.55 meters, and the third lift is the notch. Pier No. 92 is an auxiliary pier of the main bridge of the Hanjiang Grand Bridge and is one of the important piers for improving the overall stiffness of the cable-stayed bridge structure. To ensure the construction quality and schedule of this pier, the project department made overall plans, arranged work reasonably, optimized resource allocation, strengthened on-site leadership, formulated construction plans, milestone targets, and reward and penalty measures, and made every effort to advance construction progress. First, personnel, responsibilities, and tasks were assigned, tasks were decomposed level by level, pressure was transmitted, and the enthusiasm of participating employees was mobilized to comprehensively accelerate construction progress. Second, construction safety management was strengthened, the implementation of edge protection measures for work at height was ensured, and safe production and civilized construction by employees were guaranteed. Third, quality control was strictly enforced. A winter construction plan was formulated, on-site technical personnel were arranged to be on duty in shifts around the clock to track operations; the process flow was strictly followed, standardized operation was maintained, concrete vibration points were increased in density, source quality management was strengthened, and treatment of common quality problems was enhanced, effectively ensuring pouring quality.
The successful pouring of the concrete for the first lift of the pier shaft of Pier No. 92 of the main bridge of the Yuekou Hanjiang Grand Bridge greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of the participating personnel and has a positive role in promoting the acceleration of subsequent construction progress and achieving the construction milestone targets of the Yuekou Hanjiang Grand Bridge.
