On the morning of January 19, 2016, with the completion of the final concrete pour for the E ramp of the Mazhu Interchange, the pile foundation construction for Contract Section 1 of the Ningbo Yuci Expressway Project, undertaken by the Third Company of China Railway 16th Bureau Group, was fully completed.
Contract Section 1 of the Ningbo Yuci Expressway Project, undertaken by the Third Company of China Railway 16th Bureau Group, has a route length of 4.558 kilometers and a total project investment of 561.3 million yuan. The bored cast-in-place piles in the mainline viaduct and the Mazhu Interchange area total 1,672, including 189 rock-socketed piles and 1,483 friction piles. Rotary drilling rigs were used for pile foundation construction, and the more difficult rock-socketed piles were all completed on May 26, 2015. The last pile poured this time was pile 16-2# of the E ramp of the Mazhu Interchange, which had been delayed due to the influence of high-voltage power lines, green belts, and water supply pipelines. After multiple coordination efforts by the project department, the relocation of power facilities, green belts, and water supply pipelines in the interchange area was finally completed, laying the foundation for the project department to successfully complete the pile foundation construction.
