Recently, at the construction site of Nanning Metro Line 5 in Guangxi, a Lovol FR630D rotary drilling rig, after 3 hours of continuous operation, continuously drilled through a 0.8-meter diameter granite gneiss layer at a depth of 20-26 meters, accumulating up to 6 meters, once again demonstrating the powerful rock-drilling capability of Lovol rotary drilling rigs, earning it the nickname “tough guy” on the site.

It is understood that the compressive strength of the rock at the site is generally above 80MPa, with a maximum of 140MPa. According to construction standards, the pile diameter is required to be 0.8-1.2 meters, and the pile depth must reach 25 to 40 meters, which means the drilling tools must embed into hard granite at 20 to 26 meters.
