On January 2, at the construction site of the slope treatment project in Jinbao New District, Pingchang County, workers were erecting scaffolding on the slope. "The project has entered its final stage and is expected to be fully completed around this year's Spring Festival," said Zhang Daixing, the on-site construction manager.

The slopes along the line from the railway station to the resettlement housing area in the Jinbao district are mostly argillaceous rock, which is relatively soft. Combined with long-term natural weathering, the rock mass has poor self-stabilization capacity, and the steep slopes in this area have seriously threatened the safety of nearby buildings and passing pedestrians.

In early 2013, Jinbao New District launched the slope treatment project for this area. After nearly three years of construction, the project has entered its final stage and is expected to be fully completed around the Spring Festival.
