1. Comprehensive Settlement Reached in "Sany Group v. Obama" Case

 

On November 4, Ralls Corporation, an affiliate of Sany Group, formally reached a comprehensive settlement with the Obama administration regarding the legal dispute over Ralls' acquisition of a U.S. wind farm project. Accordingly, Ralls withdrew its lawsuit against President Obama and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and the U.S. government correspondingly withdrew its lawsuit to enforce the presidential order against Ralls.
The settlement not only cleared Sany of the notorious label of "endangering U.S. national security" but also removed obstacles for Sany's investments in the United States. At the same time, it provided a useful reference for Chinese enterprises and even global companies to obtain legitimate rights and interests in U.S. investments.
2. Xi Jinping Promotes Sany Wind Power to African Dignitaries

 

On December 4, Chinese President Xi Jinping, who was attending the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in South Africa, together with African dignitaries attended the opening ceremony of the China-Africa Equipment Manufacturing Exhibition. Accompanied by the South African President, Xi Jinping visited the joint booth of Sany Group, China Geo-Engineering Corporation, and PowerChina, and promoted Sany wind power to African dignitaries.
In recent years, all of Sany's business activities have been carried out around national strategies and social development needs, receiving high attention from Party and state leaders. In August this year, at the China Manufacturing Exhibition in Brazil, Premier Li Keqiang focused on visiting the Sany booth and talked with Xiang Wenbo, President of Sany Heavy Industry, about Sany excavators.
3. Liang Wengen, Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, Attends China-UK Business Summit

 

In mid-to-late October, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the United Kingdom and attended the China-UK Business Summit. At the summit, Liang Wengen, Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, shared insights on innovation as an entrepreneur representative of the infrastructure industry. During the visit to the UK, Sany Heavy Industry also signed cooperation agreements with British companies, achieving positive results.
In addition, this year Sany has repeatedly initiated and organized Chinese entrepreneur delegations to "go global together," strengthening production capacity cooperation with countries such as Venezuela and India, and continuously achieving internationalization.
4. Sany Selected as One of the First National Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Projects

 

On July 21, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of 2015 intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration projects, with 46 projects nationwide selected. Sany Group became one of the first enterprises in the construction machinery industry to be selected.
In recent years, Sany has actively responded to the challenges posed by the Internet to traditional thinking, taking open platforms and powerful data as the foundation for continued development. In December, the CRM system, the first strategic project of Sany's entire industry chain business transformation, was successfully piloted and launched, opening the curtain on the Sany Group CRM 1.0 era. At the same time, due to actively using Internet thinking to lead the company's transformation, Liang Wengen, Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, was listed on the "2015 Forbes New Manufacturing Pioneers" list.
5. Sany Group Wins National Technology Invention Award

 

On January 9, the National Science and Technology Awards Conference was grandly held in Beijing. At the conference, Sany Group's "Core Components of High-Flow Hydraulic Systems for High-Speed Heavy-Duty Construction Machinery" won the second prize of the 2014 National Technology Invention Award, making it the only construction machinery enterprise to receive this award that year.
6. Jiulong Property Insurance Approved; Sany Group Enters Insurance Industry

 

On March 30, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission officially approved the preparation for the establishment of Jiulong Property Insurance Co., Ltd. This insurance company, led by Sany Group and jointly established by many equipment machinery-related enterprises, will become the first professional insurance company in the domestic equipment manufacturing industry.
7. Sany Heavy Industry Enters "Unmanned Equipment" Field

 

On September 11, Sany Heavy Industry signed a "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Joint Development of 'Unmanned Equipment'" with the College of Mechatronics Engineering and Automation of the National University of Defense Technology of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly develop unmanned operation equipment, jointly establish an "Unmanned Equipment Engineering Center," and jointly develop highly intelligent equipment technology products for the military.
8. Sany Excavators Rush to Aid Shenzhen Landslide Site

 

On December 20, a landslide occurred at Liuxi Industrial Park in Guangming New District, Shenzhen. Sany urgently dispatched more than 80 excavators to participate in the rescue, working around the clock together with firefighting and armed police, becoming the main rescue force and receiving praise from relevant leaders of the Armed Police Transportation Force.
In addition, Sany also appeared at the cleanup site after the Tianjin dangerous goods warehouse explosion and at the rescue site of the Shandong gypsum mine collapse accident, demonstrating the great love and social responsibility of "national responsibility is greater than corporate profit."
9. Sany Sets Another Guinness Record for Concrete Pumping

 

In September, as the last batch of C60 high-performance concrete was poured to a height of 596.5 meters, the core tube structure of the main tower of Tianjin Goldin Finance 117 Building was successfully topped out. This height is second only to the 601-meter structural height of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, making it the world's second tallest structure and China's tallest structure. With this topping out, Sany's ultra-high-pressure trailer pump once again set a new Guinness World Record for vertical pumping of concrete with a single pump, reaching a pumping height of 621 meters.
10. Diplomatic Envoys from 36 African Countries Visit Sany

 

From June 11 to 13, more than 50 diplomatic envoys from 36 African countries, including ambassadors, charges d'affaires, and counselors, were invited to participate in the "African Diplomatic Envoys' Hunan Tour" event, which was the largest and highest-level foreign economic and trade event in Hunan in recent years. During the event, the African diplomatic envoy delegation visited and inspected Sany Heavy Industry, expressing admiration for Sany's scale and development and believing that Sany products represent the new image of "Made in China."
