According to the 2016 construction investment plan issued by Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway Co., Ltd., the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway plans to invest 15 billion yuan in 2016, accounting for 26% of the project's total investment. According to the work schedule, by the end of January 2016, site clearing for the land of key projects must be fully completed and construction must begin. Land acquisition and demolition are to be basically completed by the end of April 2016, and fully completed by the end of June.
The reporter learned that the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway is the country's first national high-speed trunk railway built mainly with local investment since the reform of investment and financing in China's railway construction. The estimated total investment is about 60 billion yuan, and the construction period is four years.
According to the previously issued contracting bidding announcement, the newly built Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway is 307.9 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The line has 10 stations, including Jinan East Passenger Station, Zhangqiu North, Zouping, Zibo North, Linzi North, Qingzhou North, Weifang North, Gaomi North, Qingdao Airport and Hongdao, and the Jiaozhou North Station will be renovated.
After the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway is completed, Jinan and Qingdao will be connected by a one-hour direct high-speed rail journey. It will also connect with high-speed rail lines such as the Qingrong Intercity Railway and the Qinglian Railway, and Jinan to Yantai and Rizhao will take only about two hours.
