On December 10, a unique symposium on the prevention of duty-related crimes was held at the Chengdu-Guiyang Railway project department of China Railway 15th Bureau Group of CRCC. Members of the project department and branch leadership teams, heads of departments such as materials, finance, and engineering, and members of the leadership team of Chengdu-Guiyang Railway Supervision Section 7 attended the symposium. The meeting was organized by the Guiyang Railway Transport Procuratorate. Wang Weigao, deputy commander of the Bijie Headquarters of the Chengdu-Guiyang Railway Company, chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, Yang Jun, Party secretary of the Chengdu-Guiyang Railway project department of China Railway 15th Bureau Group, and Sun Liquan, deputy director of Chengdu-Guiyang Railway Supervision Section 7, reported on behalf of their respective units on the work of building Party conduct and clean government and preventing duty-related crimes.
Li Shuhua, deputy chief procurator of the Guiyang Railway Transport Procuratorate, gave a presentation on the prevention of duty-related crimes in the engineering construction field. He first reported on the case-handling situation of the Guiyang Railway Transport Procuratorate over the past two years and interpreted some key cases. He then analyzed the current severe situation of preventing duty-related crimes and used relatively detailed data to point out the urgency and necessity of preventing duty-related crimes. Finally, he focused on using cases to analyze with everyone the psychology of taking chances, gambler's mentality, compensatory mentality, vanity, and comparison that are present in the process of committing crimes. At the same time, he pointed out the political, economic, health, and family costs of duty-related crimes. He also held a discussion with everyone on how to prevent duty-related crimes, requiring everyone to move the threshold of prevention forward, not to touch the "red line," and not to touch the "high-voltage line."
Wang Weigao, deputy commander of the Bijie Headquarters of the Chengdu-Guiyang Railway Company, required everyone to regularly instill awareness of preventing duty-related crimes in the broad ranks of employees, keep the alarm bell ringing, and while strictly disciplining themselves, perform their supervisory duties well to avoid committing crimes due to dereliction of duty.
"Deputy Chief Procurator Li always used cases to explain the law throughout the presentation and discussion, sounded the alarm for the participants, and conveyed valuable experience in preventing duty-related crimes, which was very useful to us. In future work, we will further intensify efforts to prevent duty-related crimes and ensure the safe construction of the Chengdu-Guiyang Railway throughout," said Yang Jun, Party secretary of the project, with deep feeling.
