It is understood that the preparation for the "Xiamen Children's Park" project was launched by Haicang Tourism Group in early June this year, and the final design plan was submitted on August 16. The project will be planned and designed around an eco-oriented, public-welfare-focused model, and will be implemented in three phases: near-term, mid-term and long-term.
According to reports, the near-term construction target is Haicang Bay Children's Park (located at Node 7 of Haicang Bay Park, with an area of about 3,500 square meters and a total investment of about 7.5 million yuan), which is scheduled to open before the Spring Festival next year; the mid-term construction target is Haicang Lake Children's Amusement Park (sites include about 45,000 square meters on the west side of the north entrance of Dongyu Village, about 87,500 square meters on the east side, about 17,900 square meters on the north side of Zhengyuan Hotel, about 5,000 square meters on the west side of Haitou Tianyuan, about 16,000 square meters on the north side of Zhongjun Tianfeng, and other scattered plots along Haicang Lake, totaling nearly 200,000 square meters). It is now proposed to first launch the first phase of the mid-term target, namely Phase I of Haicang Lake Children's Park, with a land area of about 39,500 square meters and a total investment of about 65 million yuan. Construction is planned to start around the Spring Festival next year and be completed before June 1.
Xiamen Children's Park is divided by age group into areas such as a toddler zone, a climbing and adventure zone, and an exploration and play zone, and uses non-powered amusement facilities that do not require electricity or other energy drives, with particular emphasis on joint participation by children and adults. In the exploration and play zone, children can learn "empathy" while playing and exercise their imagination, observation, thinking ability and problem-solving ability. The climbing and adventure zone features game elements such as climbing rings, climbing grips and climbing nets, which will not only appeal to children but also make young people eager to try. The toddler zone has "big toys" such as rocking rides, spinning bowls, double swings and "talking tubes." Many of the facilities are small and cute in shape and not only provide amusement but also naturally form part of the landscape, making it a fairy-tale paradise for children.
