The Shenzhen Ping An Finance Building currently under construction is expected to top out by the end of the year and will become the tallest financial tower in Shenzhen. Designed to reach 660 meters, the building has already risen to 400 meters. Upon completion, it will surpass “KK100” to become the world's second-tallest and China's tallest building.

At present, there are 15 financial institution headquarters towers under construction in Futian District. Among them, the Investment Banking Tower, known as the “First Venture Building,” has completed its interior renovation and will be put into use within the year. The Taiping Finance Building, distinguished by its ingenious architectural design and home to the largest atrium in China, is expected to be completed by the end of August. The CITIC Bank Building is expected to be completed in October. The new Shenzhen Stock Exchange Building has been partially put into use. As these 15 new financial institution headquarters towers are completed and put into use one after another, Futian District's status as the city's financial center will be further consolidated.
With the completion of a number of financial institution headquarters towers, financial elements will be more concentrated and the financial scale will be further expanded. In the first half of this year, the added value of the tertiary industry in Futian District reached 116.136 billion yuan, an increase of 8.6%, accounting for 93.08% of the district's GDP. Among them, the financial industry achieved an added value of 45.553 billion yuan, an increase of 9.9%, accounting for 36.5% of the district's GDP, with a contribution rate of 43.8% to economic growth.
