Foundation Engineering Network News: Recently, when the reporter entered the construction site of YukaiFa·Nancheng International Phase II Project, two Sany rotary drilling rigs were working intensively. The project's more than 300 piles are all contracted by Chongqing Wanzhou Zuande Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd., and 120 piles have been completed so far.
The on-site person in charge told the reporter that the largest pile diameter of the project is 2.2m, and the maximum depth reaches 22m. The area was previously a naturally formed deep ditch, and after multiple soil backfill, the soil is relatively soft. During construction, holes cannot be formed in one go, and hole collapse often occurs. As a result, almost every hole drilled needs to be filled with C20 concrete before drilling again, and repeated several times to succeed. Since the project consists of high-rise buildings, is located in a high backfill area, and has many building numbers, deep piles, and small spacing, construction is difficult. In addition, with the recent increase in rainfall, the construction site is muddy everywhere, which has a certain impact on the construction progress. (Yang Dong)
