On February 26, four Bulgarian ministries held a joint meeting to release their 2014-2020 development plans. Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Papazov said that from 2014 to 2020, Bulgaria's transport and transport infrastructure construction will absorb about 1.9 billion euros from EU funds and national funds, of which more than 1.3 billion euros will be used for road and railway infrastructure construction.

Papazov said that in railway construction, Bulgaria will rebuild lines such as Ruse-Varna, Plovdiv-Burgas, Karnobat-Sindel, and Sofia-Septemvri, and upgrade and renovate lines such as Vidin-Medkovets and Sofia-Dragoman. The reconstruction and renewal of these sections will further improve Bulgaria's connectivity with neighboring countries such as Greece, Turkey, and Romania, and improve transportation between ports such as Ruse, Varna, and Burgas.

Papazov also said that the remaining funds will be mainly used to enhance passenger and freight intermodal capacity and develop sustainable urban transport, including the construction of the Sofia metro and the construction of an intermodal terminal at the Port of Ruse. At the same time, more than 77 million euros will be invested in upgrading shipping and civil aviation information systems.

Due to the outstanding performance of Chinese construction machinery enterprises overseas, they have been widely recognized internationally. It is understood that at the "2013 Chongqing-Bulgaria Investment and Trade Promotion Conference", the Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly once extended an "olive branch" and sincerely invited Chongqing enterprises to participate in cooperation in Bulgaria's infrastructure, agriculture, environmental protection, culture, tourism and other fields.

Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly Mihail Mikov said that Chongqing has a good manufacturing base, and at the same time, enterprises have a strong willingness to enter overseas markets, and there is great room for cooperation with Bulgaria in agriculture, environmental protection, culture, tourism infrastructure construction and other fields. He hopes that Chongqing enterprises can also cooperate in projects such as highway construction, and welcomes Chongqing enterprises to actively participate.

In fact, Chinese construction machinery enterprises are generally optimistic about the development of overseas infrastructure markets. Zhao Xiang, Vice President of China Overseas Engineering Corporation, once said: "In fact, we believe that among the ten countries that joined the EU five years ago, Poland has the broadest market prospects. We are also interested in infrastructure projects in Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. We will also invest in Ukraine."
