At the construction site of the Wenzhou Construction Business Building, located west of the intersection of Lucheng Road and Guanghua Bridge Road in downtown Wenzhou, a project is underway in which underground and above-ground floors are being built simultaneously. Yesterday, Song Xiaojun, secretary of the Municipal Construction Engineering Management Office, revealed that the project mainly uses top-down construction technology. It is reported that this is the first use of the technology in the city.
Wenzhou Construction Group introduced the technology after five years of exploration
In the 1930s, top-down construction technology emerged in Japan; in the 1990s, high-rise buildings in cities such as Shanghai and Guangzhou began to use this technology, including Shanghai's Jin Mao Tower.
Fang Shengyong, project manager of the Wenzhou Construction Business Building, said that Wenzhou Construction Group was inspired to introduce top-down construction technology while another building in the urban area was being constructed. At that time, the plot where the building was located was not large, and nearby residents strongly complained about construction noise, dust and other problems, so the group company set up a technical research team and went to a construction company in Shanghai, where the technology was more mature, to study and learn. “After about five years of exploration, we believed the technology was relatively mature and finally decided to pilot it in the construction of the Wenzhou Construction Business Building, the company's own building.”
It is understood that the Wenzhou Construction Business Building has a total construction area of 57,000 square meters and a total investment of 300 million yuan. It is scheduled to be completed in May next year. It has 23 above-ground floors, is 93.65 meters high, and has a construction area of more than 35,000 square meters. Construction of the building's basement began on August 5 last year. By January 20 this year, the floor of the lowest basement level had been poured, and two above-ground floors had also been poured.
