Cenxi City in Guangxi is a nationally renowned granite capital, and its “Cenxi Red” granite is famous throughout the country and exported worldwide. However, due to the physical properties of Cenxi Red granite, which has many cracks, the yield rate can only reach 20%—30%, resulting in thousands of tons of slag waste generated every day. According to rough estimates, granite slag waste in Cenxi now exceeds ten billion tons. In order to turn waste into treasure, at the Fourth Session of the Ninth Cenxi Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, the Cenxi General Branch of the China Democratic League submitted a proposal titled “Suggestions on Building a Comprehensive Utilization Park for Granite Waste in Cenxi City,” proposing that, based on the current distribution of mines and stone processing plants, processing zones be set up in Nuodong, Malu, Sanbao and other towns, and that technology and capital be introduced to build processing plants.

After receiving the proposal from the CPPCC member, the Cenxi municipal government and relevant departments attached great importance to it and immediately responded and handled it.

At the end of September last year, with the official commissioning of Guangmao New Materials Co., Ltd., Cenxi's granite industry and ecological environmental protection efforts took a new step forward.
