Recently, a reporter learned at the working conference of the Songgang Subdistrict Party Working Committee that this year the subdistrict will aim to "deepen the Northwest Gateway strategy and build a high-end manufacturing base and an ecologically livable urban area," focusing on advancing the construction of 103 infrastructure projects to promote the continuous improvement of urban functions.

 

　　It is reported that this year Songgang is relying on rail transit hubs such as Metro Line 11 and the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen intercity line to accelerate the pace of infrastructure construction. At present, the subdistrict has a total of 103 ongoing or newly started infrastructure projects, with a total investment of 3.22 billion yuan. Among them, 25 infrastructure projects must be completed before the end of the year, including the Songluo Road pedestrian bridge connection project and the Xitou Sanjiaohu outdoor cultural and sports plaza. Projects currently under construction this year include 5 projects such as the renovation of Yanluo Road, Yangchong Road, and Chuangye Road. Of the 73 preliminary projects, preparatory work has been completed and construction has started on 5 projects, including Phase II of the Cultural and Arts Center and Phase II of the Sports Center.

 

　　This year the subdistrict also strives to complete preliminary work on 20 projects, including transportation for the Yanchuan Tangxiayong high-end manufacturing park and traffic micro-circulation improvement, and to launch 48 projects such as the Songgang Avenue pedestrian bridge; accelerate the construction of 23 water affairs projects with a total investment of 80 million yuan, with priority on the construction of the supporting trunk sewer for the Shajing sewage treatment plant—Songgang No. 2 Pumping Station, waterlogging improvement in the Shanmen Third Industrial Zone, and waterlogging improvement in the Nanbiantou area; and complete land acquisition for 3 municipal-invested, district-built drainage pumping stations in Bitou, Hongqiaotou, and Tangxiayong, with a total investment of 350 million yuan, among other tasks.
