　　At the "7th China International New Wall Materials Technology, Equipment and Products Exhibition," we were delighted to see a large number of new environmentally friendly and energy-saving building materials take the construction stage. These new materials, which adopt low-energy manufacturing processes and production technologies that do not pollute the environment, do not use organic chemical substances harmful to human health, and take into account recyclability and cyclic production, will play a major role in achieving energy conservation, material conservation and resource conservation in the building materials industry, protecting the ecological environment, realizing low-carbon and energy-saving architectural design services, and promoting the development of green buildings.

　　Phenolic foam fireproof insulation board is a high-performance fireproof, heat-insulating, sound-insulating, lightweight and energy-saving product, and its flame-retardant level far exceeds that of the widely used polystyrene, polyurethane and other foams. Phenolic foam is also known as the "king of insulation"; it was early used for the insulation of missile and rocket noses. In recent years, as various industries have imposed strict requirements on the thermal stability and flame retardancy of synthetic foams, phenolic foam has attracted widespread attention and developed rapidly.

　　In this comparative evaluation of phenolic foam fireproof insulation boards, the Zhongzhuang News evaluation team selected the Guibao phenolic foam fireproof insulation board and the Antefu phenolic foam fireproof insulation board as the objects of performance comparison.

　　These two fireproof insulation board products will undergo the ultimate test of a 1700°C high-temperature flame. As a new generation of high-quality energy-saving wall insulation materials, how will they perform? Please follow our evaluation experiment to find out!

　　Evaluation Summary: Phenolic foam has a uniform closed-cell structure, low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation performance, making it an ideal thermal insulation material.

　　In the compressive strength test, both products had stable dimensions and a small rate of change; in the water absorption test, the Guibao insulation board had a relatively high water absorption rate, so waterproof protection should be properly carried out during construction.

　　During the flame spray test, a carbonized layer appeared on the surface of Guibao, effectively protecting the foam structure below. After the surface of Antefu was carbonized, the carbonized layer continuously peeled off, so it was eroded by the flame to a deeper extent.

　　Phenolic molecules contain only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms, so neither the Guibao insulation board nor the Ante insulation board burns, nor does it produce thick smoke or toxic gas; both exhibit excellent environmental performance.

　　In practical applications, the cost of phenolic foam products is only equivalent to two-thirds that of polyurethane foam, and they show no obvious aging phenomenon after long-term exposure to sunlight, with good aging resistance. Therefore, they have broad market prospects and are safe, economical and green new insulation materials.
