From what was once considered "unattainable" to what is now indispensable, the experience of Putzmeister products at Nanjing Zhongfu Concrete Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Nanjing Zhongfu) is a vivid portrayal of an international high-end brand being gradually accepted and relied upon by ordinary Chinese customers. Yin Jianping, deputy general manager of Nanjing Zhongfu, joked that Zhongfu is not a particularly large concrete production enterprise in Nanjing, but this "not too large" enterprise has used Putzmeister equipment to pour a number of key projects in Nanjing, including Nanjing South Railway Station and Xuanwu Lake Tunnel. "The Elephant has first-class products and brand, and has made great contributions to the development of Nanjing Zhongfu. We are beneficiaries of Elephant products," said Yin Jianping.

  The predecessor of Nanjing Zhongfu was a mixing station set up in Nanjing by a domestic concrete machinery manufacturer. In 2007, Nanjing Zhongfu officially took over. When the station was originally built, Nanjing Zhongfu also used domestic equipment, but when reselecting equipment, the board of directors decided after research to purchase imported equipment, and Putzmeister became the first choice. Yin Jianping, who now has nearly 30 years of experience in the concrete industry, was somewhat surprised at the time by the company's decision to purchase Putzmeister pump trucks, because in his eyes, "the Elephant is unattainable." The first Putzmeister 42-meter pump truck was quickly provided to Nanjing Zhongfu. Yin Jianping, who was used to domestic equipment, praised this pump truck highly. From the flexibility and safety of the pump truck to its reliability and pumping speed, the actual performance of the Putzmeister pump truck satisfied the board of directors very much, so just two months later, Nanjing Zhongfu purchased a second Putzmeister pump truck. Today, Nanjing Zhongfu already owns 5 concrete conveying equipment units, all Putzmeister products, including a 56-meter pump truck with the longest boom currently in the Nanjing market.

  Yin Jianping recalled that he had a Putzmeister pump truck that once worked continuously for more than 30 hours without any problems. When the author asked him about a service incident involving Putzmeister that left a deep impression, he said with a smile: "With such quality, even timely service is not needed. If the Elephant doesn't break down, how could there be an impressive service story?"

  Captain Tang, who is in charge of equipment, has the most direct experience with Putzmeister's extremely low failure rate. "I have used many pumps. The failure rate of Elephant products is very low, which reduces a lot of maintenance costs and saves a lot of unnecessary trouble. Although Elephant pumps are expensive, the value they create is unmatched by other brands." He gave an example: a Putzmeister pump truck only needs its delivery cylinder replaced after pumping 220,000 cubic meters of concrete, while other brands need replacement after only 120,000 to 150,000 cubic meters. In his view, this is somewhat incredible.

  In the first two years of use of new pumps, Putzmeister pumping equipment only needs normal maintenance to work properly. The experienced Captain Tang once compared 14 pump trucks, and in terms of stability, he believes the Elephant is the best. The straightforward Captain Tang does not hide his affection for Putzmeister equipment: "The Elephant is a brand we rely on. With the Elephant on the job, I have peace of mind."

  Nanjing Zhongfu's philosophy is to proceed steadily, not seeking to be the largest but only the best, developing step by step. This is very much in line with Putzmeister's development philosophy in China. Perhaps it is precisely similar development philosophies that have created today's interdependent partnership, and there are many companies in Nanjing like Zhongfu that favor Putzmeister.
