2013 has passed, and just as people are busy with year-end tasks, branded construction machinery products are also “busy”. This is exactly the case with the piling machinery products of the German Bauer company, which have been particularly “eye-catching” at the year-end——

GB46 Hydraulic Grab Delivered to Shanghai Yuanfang Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd.

In late November 2013, a brand-new Bauer GB46 hydraulic grab was delivered to Shanghai Yuanfang Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd. After the equipment arrived at the diaphragm wall construction site in Luohu, Shenzhen, it was immediately put into use. The diaphragm wall trench width of the project is 800mm, depth 20-30 meters, and the geological conditions are complex. The arrival of the Bauer GB46 provided a reliable guarantee for the smooth progress of the project.

Shanghai Yuanfang Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd. is one of the most influential private enterprises in the domestic diaphragm wall construction industry. Chairman Liu of Shanghai Yuanfang Foundation Company happily said: “Comprehensive cooperation with the world's most famous German Bauer company in the foundation construction field, using more advanced equipment and technology, will not only help us maintain our leading position in the increasingly fierce domestic market competition, but also narrow the gap between us and professional companies in the international foundation construction field, creating favorable conditions for exploring the vast international market.”

The GB46 hydraulic grab is produced by Shanghai Bauer Machinery Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned company of the German Bauer Group in China. The product features a fully synchronized double winch system, adopts Bauer's self-developed professional foundation engineering chassis, and is equipped with the original German B-Tronic monitoring system that can accurately display the verticality of the trench and monitor all components of the equipment in real time. An optional GV3 bucket rotation device enables trenching under narrow site conditions. It fully reflects the characteristics of Bauer grabs: high trenching accuracy, fast excavation efficiency, and low fuel and wire rope consumption. Shanghai Bauer also produces GB34 and GB60 hydraulic grabs. Over the years, Bauer hydraulic grabs have won widespread praise from users for their good trench verticality, high excavation efficiency, low fuel consumption, and long service life.

Bauer Truck-Mounted Drill Successfully Completes Large-Diameter Air DTH Hammer Reverse Circulation Construction

Recently, an RB50R2 truck-mounted drill assembled by Shanghai Bauer Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully completed a water well with a diameter of 660mm and a depth of 148 meters in a coal mine in Shanxi using the large-diameter air DTH hammer reverse circulation drilling technique. The drilling work was completed in just 4 days. The normal drilling efficiency reached 6-7 meters per hour.

The geological conditions of the project are complex, with extremely developed fissures, frequent rock formation changes, and the need to pass through a 2.6-meter-high goaf. Traditional mud positive circulation technology cannot quickly form the hole. According to past experience, if old-fashioned drilling rigs and traditional mud positive circulation construction methods were used, under the same geological conditions, it would take more than one year to complete the drilling construction. The successful application of Bauer's large-diameter air DTH hammer reverse circulation drilling technology solved the urgent problems in construction and also gained valuable practical experience and provided reliable guarantees for drilling escape channels in mine emergency rescue.

Shanghai Bauer Machinery Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned company established by the German Bauer company in China. It mainly produces GB series diaphragm wall hydraulic grabs, RB50R2 truck-mounted drills, and KR909-1 multi-function anchor drills. The RB50R2 multi-function truck-mounted drill assembled by Shanghai Bauer can use mud positive circulation, mud air-lift reverse circulation, air DTH hammer positive circulation, large-diameter air DTH hammer reverse circulation, and wire-line coring drilling methods. It has been equipped by many large domestic enterprises and widely used in the construction of coalbed methane wells, water wells, dewatering wells, mine rescue, geological exploration, shallow oil and gas, and other projects. The equipment is comprehensive in function and reliable in performance, making it an ideal construction equipment for deep wells, especially large-diameter deep wells.

Bauer Tianjin Focuses on Employee Training to Ensure Assembly of Various Rotary Drilling Rigs

In early December 2013, through training and their own efforts, nearly 20 employees of Bauer Tianjin obtained certificates for overhead cranes, forklifts, etc., providing a reliable guarantee for the high-quality, high-efficiency, and high-standard assembly of various models of Bauer rotary drilling rigs. Since its establishment more than ten years ago, Bauer Tianjin has continuously conducted various trainings for employees, enabling their technical levels to continuously improve and enabling them to be competent for various positions.

The Quality Inspection Department is a key link in ensuring product quality. Its employees always ensure that Bauer Tianjin's products meet the technical standards of the German headquarters with a rigorous work attitude and superb technical level. The principle of “strict entry, strict exit” they follow has made the various models of rotary drilling rigs assembled by Bauer Tianjin favored by the majority of domestic foundation engineering professional users for their strong rock-socketing ability, low failure rate, and long service life. The picture shows a corner of Bauer Tianjin's equipment testing ground, where a BG26 rotary drilling rig is undergoing winch pulling force testing.

Bauer (Tianjin) Machinery Engineering Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned company established by the German Bauer Group in China. It assembles BG15, BG20H, BG25, BG26, BG30, BG36, BG37 and other models of rotary drilling rigs. Among them, BG26, BG30, and BG37 are newly designed special-purpose rotary drilling rigs, which have become the main models of Bauer rotary drilling rigs with greater drilling depth, larger drilling diameter, stronger rock-socketing ability, and higher performance-price ratio.

German Bauer BG46 Rotary Drilling Rig Lands in the Chinese Market

In December 2013, the German Bauer BG46 rotary drilling rig arrived at the construction site in Foshan, Guangdong Province. The pile foundation project of this project has a pile diameter of 2 meters and a depth of about 60 meters. It must be embedded in mudstone, slightly weathered argillaceous siltstone, and quartz sandstone with a cumulative thickness of 25-30 meters. The uniaxial compressive strength of the rock is relatively high, making construction difficult. After introducing the German Bauer BG40, the user immediately ordered this Bauer BG46 rotary drilling rig. This equipment is also currently the largest rotary drilling rig in the Chinese market.

The BG46 is another masterpiece of German Bauer in the foundation construction field. It has an operating weight of about 190 tons, a mast height of 33 meters, a torque of 460KNM, a maximum drilling diameter of up to 3 meters, and a maximum depth of up to 105 meters when equipped with a locking drill pipe.

According to Mr. Chen, the project manager, nearly a hundred rotary drilling rigs have entered this site successively, but most of the equipment appears very struggling during construction. Many large equipment on site require 4-6 days to complete the drilling construction of a cast-in-place pile with a diameter of 2 meters and a depth of 50-60 meters, even under normal equipment conditions. If equipment and drill pipe failures occur, it will take even longer. However, the Bauer BG40 and BG46 rigs only need less than 20 hours of pure drilling time to complete. Therefore, the construction cost of the expensive Bauer rigs actually has a clear advantage. In addition to high rock-drilling efficiency and low construction cost, the more important advantage of Bauer equipment in this project is that the equipment operation is always stable and reliable, ensuring the owner's schedule and winning market reputation for the construction unit. At present, dozens of Bauer rotary drilling rigs have been assembled at the project. Due to the obvious construction efficiency advantages and lower overall cost, the owner has also accepted the relatively higher construction unit price of Bauer rigs, achieving a win-win situation for both parties.

Bauer Rig Purchased by Mr. Liang in Guangxi Still Intact After 15,000 Hours of Work

Bauer rotary drilling rigs have always been known for their strong rock-socketing ability, reliable performance, and long service life. In projects with tight schedules, heavy tasks, and difficult strata, many Bauer rigs that have been used for many years can often be seen working efficiently, creating benefits for users and providing reliable guarantees for the smooth completion of the owner's projects.

Guangxi customer Mr. Liang purchased a BG25C rotary drilling rig assembled by Bauer Tianjin in September 2010. The rig was directly transported to the pile foundation construction of the Yungui Railway. The geology is clay and limestone, with rock strength of 40 to 60 MPa. Due to the high hole-forming quality and fast speed of the equipment, many sections that other rotary drilling rigs and percussion drilling rigs could not complete were handed over to Mr. Liang's Bauer rig by the project department. After successful completion, the machine was transferred to Kunming for drilling operations specifically for rock. The rock is usually limestone of 60-80 MPa, the hole diameter is 1000mm, and the penetration rate is not less than 1.2 meters per hour, fully meeting the project's requirement for 24-hour continuous construction. From mid-August to the end of December, the BG25C maintained normal working condition.

In view of the excellent performance of the machine, after the completion of the Kunming project, the owner transported the equipment thousands of miles to Dalian for secant pile construction. During more than four consecutive months of high-intensity construction, it tackled hard problems and once again lived up to expectations, becoming the most trusted equipment of the project department.

In January 2012, the Bauer BG25C, which had been away from Guangxi, returned home. It successively carried out bored pile construction for the Qinzhou Port Lingang Building pile foundation project, the Guangxi Liuzhou Power Construction State-owned Industrial and Mining Shantytown pile foundation project, the Lanwan Jiuli Residential Area pile foundation project opposite the Nanning Wuxiang Avenue Sports Center, and the Yunnan Hekou project. At present, the machine is under construction at the Nanning site and has worked more than 14,900 hours so far. Under Mr. Liang's careful maintenance, this Bauer BG25C has only had the main pump pressure sensor and high-pressure hoses replaced since leaving the factory, with no other major failures. Mr. Liang happily said: “Bauer rigs are stable and reliable. As long as they are maintained as required, there will be no problem using them for many more years.” (Wang Fei)
