Yesterday, a reporter learned from Beijing MTR Construction Administration Corporation that the Yanfang Line of the suburban railway has officially entered full-scale construction and is expected to be put into use in 2015. According to the latest adjusted design plan, the entire Yanfang Line will be elevated, and the number of stations has been changed to 8.

It is introduced that the Yanfang Line connects the two core clusters of Fangshan New City——the Yanfang cluster and the Liangxiang cluster. It mainly serves the western part of Fangshan New City and is also a connecting line between Fangshan New City and the central urban area. According to the approval by the Municipal Planning Commission, the Yanfang Line starts from the southern end of the Yanhua Industrial Zone, runs southeast along Yanfang Road, and enters the western extension terminal station of the Fangshan Line; the branch line starts from the Zhoukoudian area, reaches Jingzhou Road, and connects to the main line. The entire Yanfang Line is elevated, with a total length of about 21.4 kilometers. The 8 stations on the Yanfang Line are Yanhua Station, Laochengqu North Station, Raolefu Station, Gubalu Station, Xingcheng Station, Yancun Station, Dazicaowu Station, and Yancun North Station.

In addition to the main line, the Yanfang Line also has a branch line. The branch line of the Yanfang Line is 6.1 kilometers long, starting from Zhoukoudian Town Station, with Guce Station before the Mapaoquan River, and Laochengqu Station north of Chengguan South Road. After leaving the station, it turns into Jingzhou Road and connects to Raolefu Station on the main line. The three stations on the branch line are Zhoukoudian Town Station, Guce Station, and Laochengqu Station.

Through comparison, the reporter found that the 8 elevated stations on the main line of the Yanfang Line have been adjusted: the originally planned Hongsi Station has been cancelled, and Yancun North Station has been added. After planning adjustments, the average station spacing is 1.9 kilometers. A parking lot is set up for the entire line, located in Yancun North, connected to Yancun North Station. According to the current plan, it is expected to be completed and open for trial operation by the end of 2015.
