The China Federation of Industrial Economics and the Xuzhou Science and Technology Bureau hosted the 2013 New Product Appraisal Meeting at XCMG Foundation Company. Experts and leaders from the Xuzhou Science and Technology Bureau, the Development Zone Science and Technology Bureau, XCMG Group, universities and research institutes, and industry associations attended the meeting. A total of 9 product models across 4 categories, including rotary drilling rigs, continuous flight auger drills, horizontal directional drills, and boom-type roadheaders, successfully passed the appraisal.

    After listening to project reports, inspecting the production site, examining prototype machines, and reviewing appraisal documents, the experts of the appraisal committee unanimously agreed: the main technical performance indicators of the XR400D rotary drilling rig, XR150DCFA continuous flight auger drill, and XZ6600 horizontal directional drill are at the internationally leading level; the performance indicators of the XR120D rotary drilling rig and the XZ200/XZ680A/XZ1000A horizontal directional drills have reached the internationally advanced level; and the main technical performance of the EBZ200R and EBZ135L boom-type roadheaders has reached the domestic leading level and domestic advanced level, respectively.

    All nine new products that passed the appraisal were independently developed and hold more than 30 intellectual property rights. The attending leaders and experts affirmed the company's achievements in recent years and encouraged the company to continue increasing its efforts in technological innovation and to promote the common progress of China's construction machinery and coal mining machinery.
