Recently, a "Special Equipment Maintenance Center" with Class A qualification was established at Tianjin Port, becoming the first professional center capable of undertaking the maintenance of port portal cranes, yard cranes, quay cranes, container reach stackers, loaders and other special equipment, including the training of professional skilled personnel, thereby providing technical and talent support for further improving the maintenance level of mechanical equipment across the port and expanding external maintenance service business.

With the continuous increase in the types of import and export goods at Tianjin Port, the port's demand for mechanical equipment has also continued to rise. Up to now, the various terminal companies in the Beijiang Port Area, which mainly handle general cargo, use more than 400 units of various mobile machinery, most of which have been in use for more than 3 years and have entered the peak maintenance period. Moreover, most companies have adopted outsourced maintenance for their mechanical equipment, while their own maintenance capabilities have gradually shrunk, maintenance technology inheritance has faced gaps, and dependence on external providers has increased.

To this end, Tianjin Port Labor Development Company and No.1 Company, leveraging their respective advantages in equipment management, personnel training and technical qualifications, jointly established the "Special Equipment Maintenance Center," creating an organic combination of production capacity and skilled personnel training.

It is understood that after its establishment, the center can establish long-term maintenance service relationships with various loading and unloading operation companies at Tianjin Port, provide services for medium and major repair business, and solve the practical problems commonly existing in insufficient technical personnel and weak maintenance capabilities.
