At the end of October 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China issued Document No. [2013]428, jointly published by MIIT and the Ministry of Finance, announcing the latest list of nationally recognized technological innovation demonstration enterprises for 2013. Six enterprises in Hunan Province were included. Hengtian 95 Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., through its outstanding performance in continuous technological innovation, became one of these six national technological innovation demonstration enterprises.

The recognition of national technological innovation demonstration enterprises involves a comprehensive evaluation based on six basic criteria and more than 30 indicators, including possessing core competitiveness and a leading position, having sustained innovation capability and R&D investment, playing a driving role in the industry and owning independent brands, having strong profitability and a high level of management, having a strong ability to apply new technologies, and having an innovation development strategy and innovation culture. Those selected must have strong innovation capability, notable innovation achievements, and play an important exemplary and guiding role in the industry. Hengtian 95 possesses a number of core key technologies, including the world's first multifunctional electric rotary drilling rig, rotary drilling rig with self-manufactured chassis, and self-supporting riverbank pile driver. Its piling technology and equipment are domestically leading, and it has developed and produced high-end technologies in the industry such as concrete truck-mounted pumps.

Hengtian 95 is an enterprise under China Hi-Tech Group Corporation, a central state-owned enterprise. It is a high-tech enterprise focused on the design, production, and sales of construction machinery, new textile machinery, and new material equipment, and enjoys key national support. Its products have stable performance, sell well across the country, are exported to more than 30 countries and regions worldwide, and occupy a leading position in the domestic industry. It has strong scientific and technological innovation capability and owns one branch center of a national-level technology center and three provincial-level technology centers. As of the end of October, it had applied for more than 300 patents and obtained nearly 200 patents, including 46 invention patents; it has obtained 2 software copyrights; it has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial scientific research projects and has repeatedly received government awards related to intellectual property rights, with many scientific and technological innovation achievements leading domestically. Hengtian 95 has always maintained a positive and enterprising belief, striving to become larger, stronger, and better, and making unremitting efforts to become a world-class enterprise.

The other five enterprises are: CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., Hunan Hualian Ceramics Co., Ltd., Jianglu Electromechanical Group Co., Ltd., Great Wall Information Industry Co., Ltd., and Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co., Ltd. Previously, our province already had three enterprises recognized as national technological innovation demonstration enterprises: Zoomlion, Sany Heavy Industry, and Chutian Technology. At this point, the province has a total of nine national technological innovation demonstration enterprises. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance will provide corresponding policy support to the recognized national technological innovation demonstration enterprises.
