    In 2005, Liming Heavy Industry established a comprehensive technology development research institute for mining machinery with considerable strength in China—Liming Machinery Research Institute, which is one of the first batch of national-level enterprise R&D centers approved by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

    Since its inception, Liming Machinery Research Institute has shouldered the important task of "building the Liming brand" and has also provided the most favorable scientific research platform for technical talents.     In January 2012, Liming Heavy Industry's second-generation European version grinding mill obtained two utility model patents; in March 2012, more than 100 models of crushing and grinding series products passed the Russian quality certification—GOST certification; in July 2012, the tire-type mobile crushing station project was awarded the second prize of Science and Technology Progress by the Zhengzhou Municipal Government, the tire-type mobile crushing station obtained two utility model patents, and the vertical shaft impact crusher 6X obtained four utility model patents; in October 2012, the HPC high-efficiency hydraulic cone crusher and VSI high-efficiency centrifugal impact crusher were rated as domestic leading level by the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the European version jaw crusher was rated as domestic advanced level; in January 2013, the HCS160 single-cylinder cone crusher successfully completed a one-time trial run, and a new type of high-efficiency crusher with advanced industry technology was unveiled; in March 2013, 11 utility model patents were approved, respectively applied to strategic products such as 5X\6X sand making machine, European version grinding mill, and tire mobile crushing station; in April 2013, the first overseas intelligent sand and gravel production line successfully completed no-load operation debugging in Saudi Arabia; in May 2013, the VIS5X vertical shaft impact crusher won the first prize of Zhengzhou Science and Technology Achievement Progress.
