Large Hopper

After the tremie pipe is fixed, connect the hopper to the tremie pipe. Use the hopper cover, also called the hopper plug, to block the hopper discharge outlet. The schematic diagram is as follows:

First operation: The construction team connects the hopper cover with a wire rope. After the hopper is filled with concrete, pull up the hopper cover, and the concrete falls rapidly to flush up the residual mud at the pile bottom. Then use a cleaning tool to remove the mud inside, which is called hole cleaning (I am not very familiar with the specific cleaning process). While pouring concrete, the construction team needs to remove tremie pipe sections, and the bottom pipe must always remain 2 to 4 meters below the concrete surface to ensure that the poured concrete contains no excess air.

Currently, the material used for large hoppers in Guangzhou:

Steel plate material: Q235B

Actual thickness of steel plate: 2.75 mm, commonly called 3 mm in the market, but actually all are 2.75 mm.

Channel steel model: No. 8 channel steel (channel width is 8 cm)
