Disadvantages:
It cannot cover the entire working area; there are many gaps without hammer bits arranged for breaking the rock formation. The internal mechanism is complex and its stability is relatively poor. In rock formations with large fissures, there is a risk of the bit getting stuck.
Advantages:
Drilling diameter ranges from Φ600mm to Φ3000mm. It operates at relatively low air pressure, generally 1.0–1.8 MPa, with a high impact frequency. Low procurement cost. Low operating and maintenance cost.
