Friction-type drill pipe: The external keys of each drill pipe section form a complete straight-line plate structure along the entire length of the drill pipe. During the drilling process, the axial pressure is generated by the friction resistance produced by the circumferential normal pressure transmitted between the internal and external keys of each drill pipe section through the rotation of the power head, which is converted into axial pressure to achieve the pressurized feeding action.
Friction-type drill pipes are generally used for drilling construction in relatively soft strata, and can drill through silt layers, soil, (mud) sand layers, and gravel (boulder) layers. They are generally made into 4, 5, or 6 sections. The drilling depth can reach approximately 130 meters.
