Foundation Engineering Branch of the Architectural Society of China

The Foundation Engineering Branch of the Architectural Society of China was originally named the Foundation Engineering Academic Committee. The first committee was established in Beijing in 1978, and at the sixth council meeting held in Wuhan in December 2000, it was renamed the Foundation Engineering Branch. The purpose of the branch is to, under the leadership of the Architectural Society of China, focus on the central work of each period, continuously improve the organizational structure, regularly hold national academic annual meetings and council meetings and other academic exchange activities, actively carry out the compilation, revision, and promotion training of standards and specifications, provide effective work for economic construction across the country, promote the scientific and technological progress of building foundation engineering in China, and lead the development direction of the discipline.

In December 1999, the 20th Academic Annual Meeting was held in Kunming, with the theme "Discussion on Revision of Foundation Codes";
In December 2000, the 21st Academic Annual Meeting was held in Wuhan, with the theme "Theory and Practice of Foundation Design Based on Deformation Control";
In August 2001, the 22nd Academic Annual Meeting was held in Mudanjiang, with the theme "Foundation Testing Technology and Special Soil Foundation Engineering";
