　　The theme of this interview was "Implementing the Intellectual Property Strategy to Support Innovation-Driven Development." Fu Ling introduced to the media journalists the achievements of Zoomlion in the five years since the implementation of the intellectual property strategy, and gave a detailed explanation of Zoomlion's innovation system and intellectual property strategy, emphasizing that the key to Zoomlion's leapfrog development is to persist in scientific and technological innovation, master core technologies and possess independent intellectual property rights. Wu Binxing, Luo Kai, Yu Lekang and Xiao Qinglin introduced the new developments and new changes in intellectual property work at the grassroots frontline that the media journalists were concerned about, and the two "Patent Stars" talked about their personal experiences regarding basic generic research and patent protection of key core technologies.

　　Since the implementation of the intellectual property strategy in 2008, Zoomlion has made remarkable achievements: the number of patent applications has exploded from 58 per year to 1,600 per year, and has remained above 1,600 for three consecutive years, ranking first in the industry in patent applications and fifth nationwide in international patent applications; a number of world-class products have been launched one after another, including the world's largest top-slewing tower crane, the world's longest-boom concrete pump truck, and the world's largest wheeled crane; annual sales revenue has grown from 24.3 billion yuan in 2008 to 90.2 billion yuan in 2012, and its ranking in the global construction machinery industry has jumped from 20th to 6th; it has won three patent gold awards, one special prize of the Hunan Provincial Government Patent Award, and two design patent awards.
