On the afternoon of May 11, Wang Hao, Secretary of the Chaoyang District Committee of Beijing, led a Party and government delegation to visit Sunward, retracing General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection route. Chen Hongzhi, Director of the Standing Committee of the Chaoyang District People's Congress, Chen Tao, Chairman of the Chaoyang District CPPCC, and others participated.

Following the route of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Sunward, Wang Hao and his delegation came to the excavator assembly workshop to review the spirit of the General Secretary's important speech during his inspection of Sunward. He Qinghua, Chairman of Sunward, introduced to Wang Hao and his delegation the company's development history and business situation in recent years, especially the R&D of excavators. In 2001, when domestic excavators had almost been wiped out, Sunward bucked the trend and launched a modern hydraulic excavator R&D project in Changsha, where the industrial foundation was extremely weak. It took only four months to complete the process from design to prototype manufacturing, launching China's first small excavator in line with international standards. At the 6th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition and Seminar (BICES) in 2001, it won first prize in the styling and appearance quality evaluation, and in 2005 it became the first in the industry to export complete machines to Europe. After 20 years of innovative development, Sunward's excavator products now cover a full series of micro, small, medium and large models from 0.8 to 90 tons, and are hailed by the industry as "the pioneer leading China's national excavator brands!" CCTV's Science and Education Channel program "Innovation in Progress" once featured Sunward's innovative excavator works in a report titled "A Different Kind of Excavator."

Chaoyang District is one of the six main urban districts of Beijing, an important industrial base and foreign affairs activity area of the city, and also a place where Wu Guiying, currently a member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee, once served in charge. Secretary Wang Hao's visit to Sunward with his delegation was an in-depth understanding of Changsha's efforts to implement the "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" strategy and promote high-quality development measures. He affirmed Sunward's entrepreneurial spirit of starting from nothing and growing from small to large, as well as its proactive innovative spirit.
