After listening on site to the deeds of great nation craftsmen, He Qinghua summed up the spirit of craftsmanship in 12 characters: "love one's job and work diligently, focus on one's profession, and cherish home and country." He said that the spirit of craftsmanship guides people to love their work, stay focused on the work they do for a long time, and explore patterns and accumulate experience through extensive practice. At the same time, the spirit of craftsmanship is also an expression of devotion to home and country; it encourages craftsmen to rise to difficulties and step forward at critical moments.

　　He Qinghua believes that China's current efforts to overcome "bottleneck" problems involve two thresholds: design and manufacturing. The spirit of craftsmanship is a powerful guarantee for crossing the manufacturing threshold and pursuing lean manufacturing. Only by forming core competitiveness in manufacturing can low-cost, high-efficiency and high-quality production be achieved and bottleneck problems truly broken through.

　　He Qinghua advocates making the inheritance and promotion of the "spirit of craftsmanship" a regular and long-term effort, attaching importance to cultivating craftsman talent, and creating a social trend of esteeming craftsmen.
