Recently, it was learned from the Korla Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau that all key construction projects in Korla for 2021 have fully resumed and started construction. At present, thousands of laborers and technical personnel are working at more than 200 project construction sites, sounding the charge for Korla's construction projects.

On that day, the construction site of the Xinjiang Medical University Vocational and Technical College (Phase II) project was bustling with activity. On the first official day of resuming work, more than 800 workers from Guizhou, Sichuan, Henan and other places had returned to their posts.

The Xinjiang Medical University Vocational and Technical College (Phase II) covers an area of 413 mu, with a building area of 167,000 square meters. It is planned to build supporting and ancillary projects such as the School of Basic Sciences, library, gymnasium and student dormitories, and is expected to be completed in August 2021.

At present, 16 continued projects in Korla, including the reclaimed water reuse project in the southern urban area and the infrastructure construction project of the e-commerce industrial park, as well as 9 new projects such as the Fuxing Avenue bridge project across the Peacock River and the Huyang North Road (Xingfu Road-Jianguo North Road) road construction project, have also successively resumed or started construction.

Wang Chao, deputy director of the Municipal Engineering Affairs Center of the Korla Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, said: "The continued construction projects in Korla have resumed work 100%, and the new construction projects that meet the conditions have started construction 100%. For construction projects still in the demonstration stage, we should actively create conditions and strive to start construction as soon as possible, making positive contributions to achieving a strong start in the first quarter."
