On February 19, the reporter learned from the fourth session of the 13th Hebei Provincial People's Congress that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Hebei Province undertook 1,171 projects with investment from Beijing and Tianjin exceeding 50 million yuan.

　　Over these five years, Hebei Province has unswervingly implemented major national strategies and solidly promoted the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Three key areas—transportation, ecological and environmental protection, and industry—took the lead in making breakthroughs. A number of landmark projects, including Beijing Daxing International Airport, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, and the Taihang Mountains Expressway, were completed and put into use, and the main framework of the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on Track" network has basically taken shape; the construction of Zhangjiakou's "Two Zones of the Capital" has been steadily advanced, and the task of retiring 1.8 million mu of farmland for grass planting was completed ahead of schedule; a number of major industrial projects were completed and put into production, with total investment of 1,134.8 billion yuan in projects undertaken from Beijing and Tianjin.

　　According to the Hebei Provincial Government Work Report, in 2021 Hebei will implement the Beijing-Hebei and Tianjin-Hebei strategic cooperation agreements, comprehensively enhance the undertaking functions of the Caofeidian Coordinated Development Demonstration Zone, Bohai New Area, Beidaihe Life and Health Industry Innovation Demonstration Zone, and other areas, and complete investment of more than 30 billion yuan in the Beijing Daxing International Airport Airport Economic Zone within the year. At the same time, Hebei Province will also advance the construction of transportation projects such as the Beijing-Tangshan and Shijiazhuang-Hengshui-Cangzhou-Huanghua intercity railways, explore the establishment of a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei land-sea-air port alliance, continue to implement major ecological projects such as the Beijing-Tianjin Sandstorm Source Control Project, implement the coordinated development plan for the three northern counties of Langfang City and Tongzhou District of Beijing, and launch a number of key matters in advance.
