On May 8, the proposal review meeting for postdoctoral researcher Shen Chao, jointly trained by Zhejiang University and Sunward Intelligent Equipment, was held at Sunward Industrial City. Professor Zhang Bin, Shen Chao's postdoctoral co-supervisor at Zhejiang University; Zhang Daqing, corporate supervisor and Executive Deputy General Manager of Sunward Intelligent Equipment; Professor Li Diquan of Central South University; and other relevant experts attended the meeting in person. Yi Xu, Director of the Postdoctoral Management Office of Sunward Intelligent Equipment, chaired the meeting.

Zhang Daqing welcomed the attending experts. He noted that this proposal meeting marks a solid step forward by both parties in cultivating high-end talent. Sunward Intelligent Equipment has long adhered to the integration of industry, academia, and research, and has cumulatively trained more than 200 master's and doctoral talents. Its cooperation with universities such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Central South University, and the National University of Defense Technology has always focused on solving practical problems and cultivating practical talent, and Dr. Shen Chao's proposal is another pragmatic embodiment of this philosophy.

Shen Chao's research topic is "Key Technologies for Autonomous Motion Planning and Control of the Working Arm of a Wheel-Legged Excavation Robot," focusing on the autonomous motion planning and control of the working arm, with the aim of enhancing the intelligence, precision, and safety of the robot in autonomous operations. In his proposal report, he systematically elaborated on the background of the topic, the current state of research at home and abroad, research objectives, content and innovation points, research methods and technical roadmap, existing research foundation, and schedule.

Upon nomination at the meeting, Professor Li Diquan served as the head of the review panel. After listening to the report, the review panel experts conducted in-depth questioning and guidance on the scientific rigor, innovation, and feasibility of the topic. The expert panel recommended that during his postdoctoral research, Shen Chao should further clarify the research object, closely integrate with practical application scenarios, and strengthen the quantitative analysis and engineering translation of research results. After comprehensive deliberation, the review panel concluded that the research topic has clear objectives, a well-defined technical roadmap, a feasible plan, and strong innovation, meeting the requirements for a postdoctoral proposal, and unanimously agreed to approve the proposal.

The Sunward Intelligent Equipment Postdoctoral Research Workstation was established in 2008, focusing on three major directions: engineering equipment, special equipment, and aviation equipment, forming an innovation ecosystem with deep integration of industry, academia, and research. It has jointly trained multiple postdoctoral researchers with universities such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Central South University, and the National University of Defense Technology. Currently, there are 3 postdoctoral researchers in residence, making positive contributions to the cultivation of high-end talent for the country. In the future, Sunward Intelligent Equipment will continue to optimize management and increase R&D investment, helping China's equipment manufacturing industry make breakthroughs toward intelligence, unmanned operation, and green energy-saving development, and promoting high-quality development of the industry.
