Recently, the lifting and installation of the pier-side bracket on the large-chainage side of Pier 5 of the Xihoumen Road-Rail Bridge was completed. In addition,the world's first set of "ternary mixed gas" pressurized shield operation equipment, independently developed by China Railway 11th Bureau Group, has been officially applied to the Jintang Subsea Tunnel of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway—the world's longest subsea high-speed railway tunnel (the Jintang Subsea Tunnel is a controlling project of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway).

The Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway starts from Ningbo East Station and ends at Zhoushan Station, with a length of 76.4 kilometers. Stations along the route include Qiu'ai Station, Beilun West Station, Jintang Station, and Ma'ao Station, with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Once the project is completed, it will end the history of Zhoushan City having no railway access, and is of great significance for promoting the integrated development of Ningbo and Zhoushan and supporting the construction of the Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan Open Corridor.
