All construction personnel of the Gansu Road & Bridge Arou Highway General Contracting Department have anchored themselves to the construction goals, devoted full efforts to tackling construction tasks, and set off an upsurge of solid work and courageous endeavor on the Gobi Desert of the Hexi Corridor.

The project faces multiple challenges, including complex structural forms, high safety risks in high-altitude operations, and a large volume of precast component construction. The Arou Highway General Contracting Department has consistently adhered to the working policy of seeking progress while maintaining stability and pursuing both quality and efficiency, scientifically coordinated construction resources, precisely dispatched construction forces, and resolved construction bottlenecks one by one.

Subgrade works are advancing efficiently. A cumulative 8.6288 million cubic meters of subgrade excavation has been completed, with a completion rate of 66.91%; a cumulative 12.9126 million cubic meters of subgrade filling has been completed, with a completion rate of 75.75%. Section after section of formed subgrade steadily extends across the Gobi Desert, building a solid skeleton for subsequent pavement construction and consolidating the overall construction foundation of the project.

Bridge works are in full swing. Bridge construction is advancing at multiple points and in an all-round manner, and substructure construction has rapidly expanded from individual points to broader areas. A cumulative 1,479 pile foundations have been completed across the entire line, accounting for 65.52% of the total; 232 pier columns and 35 bent caps and abutments have been completed. Girder and slab prefabrication is being advanced simultaneously, with large-scale production of 20-meter, 30-meter, and 40-meter box girders fully launched, and construction components are being stockpiled in sufficient quantities to make adequate preparations for subsequent large-scale girder erection.

Culvert works are being carried out in an orderly and interwoven manner. With close attention to the micro-circulation of line construction, culvert works are being vigorously advanced. A cumulative 790 box culvert segments have been prefabricated, and 26 culvert foundations and lifting ancillary works have been completed. All processes are closely linked, carried out in cross-operation, and advanced in an orderly manner, ensuring the overall continuity of project construction.

Next, all construction personnel of the Gansu Road & Bridge Arou Highway Project will continue to maintain the momentum of tackling key challenges, strictly control project quality, firmly uphold the safety bottom line, and closely grasp construction progress, going all out to advance project construction and ensure that all target tasks are completed on schedule.
