Recently, at the construction site of the Xiabaishi Tunnel of the Fu'an National Highway G228 Project undertaken by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., machinery was roaring, transport vehicles were shuttling back and forth, and workers were advancing the excavation work in an intense and orderly manner.

Yang Di, deputy manager of the Fu'an G228 Project Department of CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., told reporters that the project is currently making every effort to advance the tunnel works on the key route. The right tunnel tube was holed through at the end of last year, and the left tube has been excavated 2,000 meters, with more than 200 meters remaining, and the excavation completion volume exceeds 90%. The main filling of the project's roadbed works has been fully completed, the bridge works are undergoing pile foundation and substructure construction, and the precast beam yard is being built simultaneously.

It is reported that the highway project from Xiabaishi Yingping to Baizhao section of National Highway G228 in Fu'an is located in Xiabaishi Town, involving five villages: Xiaoli, Doumentou, Xiabaishi, Hengli and Baizhao. The project is built to the standard of a first-class highway combined with an urban main road, with a design speed of 60 km/h, a roadbed width of 27 meters, and two-way six lanes. The main line is about 3.983 kilometers long, with 2.277 kilometers of tunnels along the entire line, and a total investment of about 654 million yuan.

Yang Di said that next, the tunnel is expected to be holed through in June, and after holing through, the secondary lining and electromechanical installation works will be completed simultaneously. The bridge and roadbed works are also being advanced simultaneously, striving to complete the main structure construction and deliver the project by the end of this year.
