On March 20, the first pile foundation of the Shiliqi River Bridge on the Beijing-Guangzhou passenger line, part of the newly built Zhengzhou South Railway Station and related projects, was successfully drilled, marking a new stage in the construction of the NZSG-02 section of the newly built Zhengzhou South Railway Station and related projects.

The Shiliqi River Bridge on the Beijing-Guangzhou passenger line has a total length of 270.26 meters and is designed with 152 bored piles, 9 pile caps, 7 pier shafts, and 2 abutments, with the superstructure mainly using simply supported T-beams. The first pile drilled this time is designed with a length of 37 meters and a diameter of 1 meter.

It is reported that the work area is located in the Yellow River alluvial plain, where the strata are mainly thick layers of silty soil, silty sand, and fine sand. The geology is loose and prone to hole collapse, and the hydrological conditions are complex, making pile foundation construction high-risk and technically difficult. Before drilling, the construction unit accurately re-measured the pile positions, completed casing installation, mud circulation setup, and equipment commissioning, strictly implemented technical, safety, andenvironmentalbriefings, passed supervision acceptance item by item, and simultaneously organized standardized construction site exchanges to consolidate process key points and unify control standards, laying a solid foundation for the smooth drilling of the first pile and subsequent high-quality construction.

The section line has a total length of 14.33 kilometers, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour for the freight line and 160 kilometers per hour for the passenger line. After the project is completed, it will connect railway trunk lines in 8 directions, form a "station-city integration"comprehensivehub center, help implement the "four main and multiple auxiliary" strategic layout of the Zhengzhou railway hub, drive the 0.5-square-kilometer station-city integrated development in the core area of southern Zhengzhou, radiate the construction of surrounding 30-square-kilometer industrial parks, and inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of the Central Plains region.
