On March 20, at the banks of the Yangtze River in Libu Town, Jingzhou District, Jingzhou City, the construction site of the Libu Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge was bustling with activity. The north and south main towers, standing over 200 meters tall, rise majestically like giant arms about to "shake hands" in the middle of the river. Tower cranes stand in clusters, welding sparks fly, and transport vehicles shuttle ceaselessly as this world-class bridge project advances at "accelerated speed."

As the "flagship" of Jingzhou's major transportation projects under the "Four Roads and Two Bridges" program, the construction progress of the Libu Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge is closely watched.
As of the end of February, the project had completed investment of approximately 427 million yuan this year, accounting for 16.4% of the annual investment plan of 2.6 billion yuan, achieving a good start. Currently, the bridge's main towers, side piers, auxiliary piers, approach bridge pile foundations and pile caps, and lower-tier pier columns and bent caps have all been completed; the construction of the anchorage weighing tens of thousands of tons is 96% complete and nearing completion; the railway cast-in-place girders are 55% complete, and construction of the upper structure is more than halfway done; the installation of the steel truss girders spanning the Jingjiang Grand Dike is 80% complete, the fabrication of the main bridge steel girders is in full swing, and the production of key components such as stay cables and main cable saddles is proceeding in an orderly manner. This river crossing, integrating expressway, railway, and urban roads, will greatly ease the traffic pressure of river crossings in Jingzhou upon completion and inject new momentum into the economic and social development of both banks of the Jingjiang River.
