On January 5, at the construction site of Section 2 of the newly built first-class highway project from Potou in Yangquan to the Yuci section of National Highway 307, machinery was roaring, and construction workers and large machinery were working closely together to carry out pile foundation construction in an orderly manner.

Up to now, the five bridges and roadbed works that started first have fully entered the large-scale construction stage. A total of 92 pile foundations have been poured, 36 T-beams prefabricated, and 4.5 kilometers of roadbed clearing completed. This has created favorable conditions for subsequent construction and pressed the "accelerator key" for the overall advancement of the project.

The Shouyang section of the newly built first-class highway project from Potou in Yangquan to the Yuci section of National Highway 307 is about 61 kilometers long in total, including about 43 kilometers for the main line and about 18 kilometers for the connecting line. The main line is built to the standard of a two-way four-lane first-class highway. After the project is completed, it will further improve the structure of Shouyang County's trunk highway network, enhance the traffic efficiency and service level of the national highway, and help build a modern comprehensive transportation system. At the same time, the implementation of the project will help optimize regional traffic organization, improve environmental quality, and promote the development of resources along the route and the interconnection of tourist attractions. It is of great significance for promoting the integrated development of the urban agglomeration in central Shanxi and building a new pattern of coordinated regional development.
