On December 30, the 198 MW Baiyun photovoltaic project in Yunnan was fully connected to the grid at full capacity, injecting green momentum into the regional energy structure transition.
The project has a total installed capacity of 198 MW, covers an area of about 3,200 mu, and installs 331,268 710Wp photovoltaic modules.

The project is located in Yongshan County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, spanning the three townships of Wuzhai, Lianfeng, and Maolin. It lies in the alpine plateau mountainous area of the northern Wumeng Mountains, where the climate is complex and changeable,
bringing many challenges to project construction. The project department rationally allocated resources and implemented grid-based management, scientifically dividing the photovoltaic site into 70 sub-arrays and adopting multiple
work faces for simultaneous construction; at each work point, oxygen cylinders and first-aid kits were fully equipped, and emergency drills for altitude sickness were carried out on a regular basis; during the rainy season that lasted for several months, the participating employees
cleared silt and paved roads in the rain, rushed to repair roads, and urgently built retaining walls and laid culverts on dangerous sections, seizing every gap in the rain to organize construction; in response to the terrain with large undulations,
the team flexibly adjusted the "height" of the pile foundations, and the module installation followed the mountain contours to maximize the use of mountain space; for sub-arrays in wetland or swamp areas,
drainage ditches were excavated, retaining walls were added, and pile foundations were deepened by 1-2 meters to ensure stability; 50 drones were used to transport materials and equipment in steep areas, effectively solving
the transportation problem, and project construction advanced rapidly throughout.
After the project is completed, it can deliver about 274 million kWh of green electricity per year, achieving the "livestock-photovoltaic complementary" effect of power generation above the panels and grazing below them, which is of great significance for improving the regional energy structure,
promoting ecological civilization construction, and boosting local economic development and rural revitalization.
