On December 30, the construction site of the Changsha West Station project, undertaken by the Station Building Construction Command of China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. and agent-constructed by China Railway Construction Engineering Group, remained bustling with activity. At present, Changsha West Station has fully completed pile foundation, earthwork and underground foundation construction, and has officially moved on to superstructure construction, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work.

As a core node of the Xiamen-Chongqing corridor of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" railway network and a key passenger station in the "Three Main and Five Auxiliary" transportation layout of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region, the construction progress of Changsha West Station has always been closely followed by all sectors of society. At the construction site, various work teams cooperate in an orderly and well-organized manner. Large tower cranes swing their massive arms to precisely lift building materials, while workers wearing safety helmets shuttle busily among the formwork and scaffolding, methodically advancing preparatory work for the superstructure such as rebar tying and formwork support.

To ensure that construction progress advances as planned, the project department refined its winter construction plan in advance, formulated special safeguard measures such as material insulation and concrete curing for low-temperature weather, and scientifically allocated manpower and machinery resources, precisely breaking down construction tasks to each work team and each stage, forming a construction pattern of coordinated and efficient advancement.Nearly 1,000 builders remain on the front line of construction, covering multiple key positions such as welding, rebar work and machinery operation. To enable those staying on duty to enjoy a warm holiday, the project department will carry out heartwarming condolence activities, delivering care and warmth to the builders and forging a strong synergy to overcome difficulties.

With a total floor area of 490,000 square meters, Changsha West Station is expected to handle more than 15.15 million passenger trips annually after completion. It will enable "zero-transfer" connections between multiple lines, including Metro Line 2 and Line 12, and high-speed rail, greatly improving regional commuting efficiency. Upon completion, it will form a "dual-station linkage" pattern with Changsha South Station, better meeting the public's travel needs.
